Amira Uses a table lamp to read at night. She cannot see the book until light falls on it. The light rays from the table lamp fall on her book and then reflected into her eyes.

When you look at a mirror, you see your image in the mirror. The light from a light source falls on you. This light is reflected into the mirror and the mirror reflects the image into your eyes.


                             

The reflection of light can be shown in the form of diagram.


                       
Some objects reflect light better than others. Mirrors and aluminium foil are good reflectors because their surfaces are smooth and shiny.
